However, the effects of long sleep duration remain unclear, although some studies reported that sleep duration longer than 8 h/d was associated with an increased risk of CCVD [ 2 , 19 , 20 ], we failed to reach statistical significance in the long sleep group, the result of which was similar to a recent study conducted in Taiwan population [ 17 ].
