For participants’ subjective valence ratings, both the Group main effect ( F [1,59] = 0.030, p = 0.864, ηp 2 = 0.001) and the Group-by-Valence interaction (F[2,118] = 1.320, p = 0.271, ηp 2 = 0.022) failed to reach statistical significance; however, the Valence main effect was significant even after Bonferroni adjustments ( F [2,58] = 85.101, p < 0.001, ηp 2 = 0.591) (see Table 2 ).
Including patients receiving rhPTH therapy, a lower serum phosphate concentration (odds ratio 1.364 [95% confidence interval (CI) 1.049-1.776], p<0.05) and a longer disease duration of HPT (odds ratio 1.063 [95% CI 1.021-1.106], p<0.01) were significant predictors for renal calcifications, whereas 24-hour urinary calcium excretion was elevated in patients with renal calcifications but failed to reach statistical significance (odds ratio 1.137 95% CI 0.999-1.294, p=0.0053]) ( Table S3 ).
It can be further appreciated that although the OR of mucosal thickenings was significantly increased ( P < 0.05, Wald’s test) in the initial model for those cases with maximum MS height > 33.60 mm, atrophic/partially atrophic alveolar process category, and the presence of foreign materials, a confounding effect was apparent for these three covariates, as the association failed to reach statistical significance ( P > 0.05) when adjusted for confounders individually.
TNF-α and IL-6 were slightly higher than the respective concentrations in unstimulated whole blood; the differences, however, failed to reach statistical significance [TNF-α: control 26.7 (7.0/76.5), GA 40.2 (7.0/74.5), CpG 18.0 (7.0/240.1); IL-6: control 20.4 (7.0/305.8), GA 33.9 (10.4/251.9), CpG 18.6 (7.0/646.3), both p > 0.05, Friedman test] ( Figure 4 A,B).
