In the APT trial, the pretomanid–rifabutin regimen was associated with a significantly higher hazard of culture conversion with an adjusted hazard ratio of 1.89 (95% confidence interval [CI], 1.24–2.87; P = 0.003) as compared with the control regimen, whereas the pretomanid–rifampin regimen showed a trend toward a higher hazard of culture conversion with an adjusted hazard ratio of 1.41 (95% CI, 0.93–2.12; P = 0.10), both in liquid media.
