For SNPs that reached statistical significance ( P = 5.0×10 −8 /3 = 1.67×10 −8 , to account for three main tests) or showed a trend towards that threshold ( P < 5×10 −6 ), we performed stratified G×E analyses by sex, tumor site (proximal colon, distal colon, rectum), and study design.

Notably, we confirmed significantly decreased NE levels in the spinal cord of SMNΔ7 mice at P6 and showed a trend towards reduction of this neurotransmitter levels at P3, compared to the age-matched WT littermates (genotype, F (1,49) = 12.31, p = 0.0010; age×genotype, F (2,49) = 2.923, p = 0.0632; P3, p = 0.0938; P6, p = 0.0003; Fig. 4g ; Supplementary Table 4 ).
Compared to the echocardiography at 7 days, IVST and LVPWd at 6 months after treatment showed a trend to incrassation in the control group (9.6 ± 0.3 vs. 9.9 ± 0.4, P < 0.001; 9.6 ± 0.3 vs. 9.9 ± 0.5, P < 0.001) and had no significant change in the TPE group (9.6 ± 0.4 vs. 9.7 ± 0.4, P = 0.251; 9.5 ± 0.3 vs. 9.7 ± 0.2, P = 0.056), while LVIDd were found to be significantly decreased in the TPE group (45.4 ± 2.8 vs. 44.0 ± 1.5, P = 0.019) and had no significant change in the control group (45.0 ± 2.9 vs. 44.6 ± 3.0, P = 0.244).
In our cohort, higher baseline CRP was significantly associated with higher baseline EED in the unifactorial analysis but only showed a trend when adjusting for confounders ( p < 0.001 and p = 0.055, respectively).
The Kaplan–Meier survival curve showed a trend toward poorer survival rates among patients without stroke ( p < .001), as demonstrated in Figure 6 . 6.

For the region of Campinas, the number of cases of CIN3 and AIS registered yearly over time was compared with the cancer registries and showed a trend towards increase (121 cases in 2001 and 177 cases in 2012, p < 0.001) ( Fig. 1 , dotted line).
