a trend towards significanceP = 0.05
In children with probable FH and non-FH ( n = 500), the association between Lp(a) levels in children and CVD in first-degree relatives showed a trend towards significance [OR: 1.15 per 1 unit increase of Lp(a) on the log-scale, 95% CI: 1.00–1.31, P = 0.05], whereas this was not the case in children with definite FH and non-FH [OR: 1.06 per 1 unit increase of Lp(a) on the log-scale, 95% CI: 0.96–1.16, P = 0.21].
