Nevertheless, for the temperature treatments the Δ leac oocyst showed a trend toward lower viability percentages compared to WT (44% ± 15% versus 56% ± 22% at 40°C and 24% ± 23% versus 28% ± 13% at –20°C), although these differences were statistically not significant ( P > 0.05).
