There is a positive (and slightly significant) result that those who own a farm show higher support for the meat tax relative to those that do not; while this is the opposite of our expectation in terms of cost implication of the tax to farm owners, recent literature finds that rural and urban residents are starting to converge in their support of climate change policies 55 , 56 .
