In this comparative trial, VAS scores for pain in both groups were significantly reduced following treatment; however, after cessation of treatment and assessment in the follow-up period, VAS scores were further reduced in those who received physiotherapy courses, while there was a trend towards pain resurgence in those receiving radiofrequency modulation therapy that did not reach statistical significance ( Fig. 2 ).
