Subdurally implanted ECoG arrays showed no differences in reactive astrocyte accumulation 2 months following device implantation; however, there was a strong trend toward an increase in GFAP staining on the ipsilateral side, suggesting the presence of mild reactive gliosis in the implanted cortex in the case of the SWCNT/MDPE/Pt ECoG array 124 .
