[The government] will need to justify why they want to create this institution.’ This concern was expressed alongside a frustration that the biomedical professions had not been consulted in the drafting process: ‘we were going to find out on TV that there was a legislative draft on traditional healing! [...] In principle this draft should have gone through us, or at least the Ministry should ask for our opinion on this, because it is hugely significant to adopt rules that are about a medical practice, without going through the Ordre des Médecins.
