Anti-TNF monotherapy Withdrawal of anti-TNF monotherapy (IFX or adalimumab) is associated with a high risk of relapse (between 30%-40% at 6 mo/1 year and > 50% beyond 2 years)[ 14 , 15 ], which is quite significant given that the clinical benefits of discontinuing anti-TNF, such as reduced risk of infection or malignancy, are hypothetical as no controlled study has ever been conducted.
