We found evidence for both countries (although stronger in Austria and only marginally significant in Italy) that variant-adapted (in our experiment, Omicron-adapted) vaccines could contribute to a greater readiness to get vaccinated (Austria: 0.256, CI 0.125–0.387; Italy: 0.037, CI 0.007–0.223), in particular among the triple vaccinated (0.279, CI 0.182–0.377).
