We found that mice exposed to 40 Hz vibrotactile stimulation showed a trend toward a higher number of c-Fos-positive cells in the SSp (with an increase of about 2.1-fold) and significantly more c-Fos-positive cells in the MOp (with an increase of about 3.3-fold) compared to no stimulation controls ( Figure 1E ).
