The study showed a trend towards a higher rate of cardiac deaths in the CTO PCI arm in 4-month follow-up [ 38 ] and in 3-year follow-up, to a significantly higher incidence of cardiac death (6.0% vs. 1.0%, p = 0.02) with the trend in all-cause mortality (12.9% vs. 6.2%, HR 2.07, 95% CI 0.84 to 5.14; p = 0.11) [ 41 ].
