Of note, although ethnicity-based variation among all orthopaedic surgery procedures did not reach statistical significance, a significant difference was noted in CPT subanalysis for trimalleolar ankle fracture open reduction and internal fixation between White and Black/African American populations (0.48 days [White] vs. 2.28 days [Black] to OR, P < 0.001).
