In Cox regression, patients with multihit abnormalities had a 2.89-fold increased risk of death compared with those with wild-type TP53 (95% CI, 1.88-4.43), and those with single-hit abnormalities had a 1.63-fold increased risk of death (95% CI, 0.91-2.91) compared with those with wild-type TP53 ( Figure 2 D), with a significant trend in the HR as the number of TP53 abnormalities increased (likelihood ratio test, P = 5.42 × 10 −5 ).
