Although odds for incident VFs were greater in individuals with prevalent VFs and a higher VF count at baseline, multivariate models for both of these variables did not reach statistical significance (VF status: OR SD = 2.15, 95%-CI = 0.72 – 6.43, p = 0.170; VF count: OR = 1.38, 95%-CI = 0.89 – 2.12, p = 0.147) ( Table 4 ).
