Our data from the lungs of asthmatic donors are consistent with previous analyses of MNPs in the blood [ 60 ] and sputum [ 61 ] which reported either no difference or only weakly significant minor changes in the frequencies of various MNP subsets at steady state, although more robust differences could be observed following allergic challenge [ 61 , 62 ].
