The proportion of individuals without education higher than primary level, and those without piped-in drinking water at home, showed a positive correlation with the number of BID cases per 105 population, although they did not reach statistical significance (rho=0.20, p=0.054 and rho=0.20, p=0.051, respectively) ( Figure 2 ).
