Interestingly, the SCLC monoculture organoids cultured in monoculture media showed a trend towards secreting more GRO-α, IL-8, MMP-1 and MMP-2 at DPT 31 than at DPT 0, but to a much smaller extent than the co-cultures, showing that SCLC cells secrete these factors when they survive after chemotherapy, but more so in the presence of ALFs.
