However, the study showed a trend for more adverse effects with vNOTES approach (one case of intraperitoneal spilling, four cases of postoperative bleeding) but without a statistically significant difference between the two approaches for intraoperative and postoperative complications. vNOTES adnexal surgery is particularly attractive because it does not involve any parietal scarring 10 11 and thus represents a reduced risk of parietal complications.
