While MONALESSA-2 [ 5 ] has demonstrated a significant overall survival (OS) benefit with the addition of the CDK4/6-inhibitor ribociclib to letrozole and MONARCH-3 [ 6 ] showed a strong trend towards OS significance with the addition of abemaciclib to endocrine therapy in its interim analysis, PALOMA-2 [ 7 ] did not demonstrate similar statistical improvement in OS with the addition of palbociclib to letrozole.
