The pooled analysis (fixed-effects model) is shown in Figure 2 , which shows that there was no difference in the risk of implant survival/failure between the immediate and delayed implant placement groups (risk ratio 0.99; 95% CI 0.96, 1.02), which therefore did not reach statistical significance (Z = 0.78, p = 0.44).
