In the analyses stratified by various cardiovascular and pulmonary comorbidities, a similar trend of higher VTE risk in patients with BP or PV was still observed in each comorbidity stratum, though some did not reach statistical significance; this could be due to the reduced sample size/event number after dividing patients into different comorbidity subgroups, especially those with certain comorbidities (eg, atrial fibrillation, heart failure, varicose veins) (Table S6 ).
