In our ypN(+) subgroup analysis, adjuvant chemotherapy, although not prognostic, showed a trend of benefit (P=0.08 and P=0.053) and although univariate and multivariate analysis did not reveal adjuvant chemotherapy to be an independent prognostic factor for survival, this result suggests that screened patients may benefit from adjuvant chemotherapy if patients are adequately assessed postoperatively.
