18 studied 20 Caucasian patients at baseline and 6 months after bariatric surgery and observed significant percentage losses in SAT (31±4%), VAT (37±4%), hepatic fat (51.2±7.9%), and pancreatic fat (43.8±7.0%), although implying differential mobilization of site-specific body adipose depots, limited by the small sample size, their results failed to reach statistical significance.
