There was a trend of lower postoperative in-hospital opioid use in patients undergoing wedge resection but this did not reach statistical significance [all: 8.0 (1.4–22.8) vs. 15.0 (3.4–29.0), P=0.12 and schedule II: 3.0 (0.0–16.5) vs. 9.5 (1.1–28.5), P=0.084].
