Amendments from Version 2 Differences between version 2 and 3 are (1) an error in the abstract of the difference in the proportion of SA children with overweight/obesity compared to White children has been changed from 20% to 10%; (2) in the Strengths and Limitation section of the Discussion we have reiterated that any difference in overweight and obesity status between the two ethnic groups did not reach statistical significance; and (3) changed the words 'early menstruation' to 'puberty timing'.
