A higher proportion of the post-MD-PALS patients than the pre-MD-PALS patients had specialist palliative care consultations (41.5 % vs 31.8 %; P = 0.339) and inputs from the various members of the multi-disciplinary teams (84.1 % vs 81.8 %; P = 0.804) during their index admission for palliative interventions, although these differences did not reach statistical significance (Table 4 ).
