Although there was an overall reduction in total bilirubin (5.8 mg/dL [4–6.8] to 2.9 mg/dL [1.9–6.6], p = 0.47) and direct bilirubin (2.9 mg/dL [2.4–3.1] to 1.9 mg/dL [1.22–4.2], p = 0.5), these changes did not reach statistical significance ( Table 3 , Figs 1 and 2 ).
