Although none of the bivariate correlations between variables were significantly different between the two groups, a few approached significance: the positive association between nature connectedness and climate change anxiety was higher in the high knowledge group ( r = 0.33) than the low knowledge group ( r = 0.15; Fisher’s z = −1.68, p = 0.092), and the positive association between collective action and anxiety was stronger in the low knowledge group ( r = 0.39) compared to the high knowledge group ( r = 0.20; Fisher’s z = 1.83, p = 0.067).
