Growth Overall, stress treatment caused a significant 33.7% reduction in growth rate relative to the control ( F 1,66 =14.76, P <0.001), but the effect of time ( F 2,66 =2.90, P =0.06) did not reach statistical significance ( Fig. 5 ).
