Patients with moderate dysplasia had a significantly increased risk of ESCC compared with mild dysplasia (HR 2.40, 95% CI: 1.35–4.29) and a showed a trend towards an increased risk compared with low-grade dysplasia (HR 1.71, 95% CI: 0.93–3.16).
