While cases had higher odds of having laboratory-confirmed influenza compared with all controls (aOR: 1.55; 95% CI: 0.42–5.69) and healthy controls (aOR: 2.59; 95% CI: 0.50–13.36), the associations did not reach statistical significance after adjusting for other factors ( Table 4 ).
