In contrast, just one significant SNP placed on chromosome 5 emerged for grain protein content ( Figure 4 ; Supplementary Table 2 ), and no significant association was detected for individual seed weight ( Supplementary Figure 6 ), although some SNPs approaching significance emerged for both of these traits. 3.5 Genomic regression models The GP models trained and validated on the germplasm collection displayed moderate to high predictive ability ( r Ab ) for all traits, mostly with slight differences between statistical models ( Table 4 ).
