Brain ventricle and choroid plexus morphology as predictor of treatment response in major depression: Findings from the EMBARC study.

Choroid plexus volumes were significantly correlated with the HAMD-17 score at baseline (n = 217; right: Pearson R = 0.22, p = 0.002; left: Pearson R = 0.17, p = 0.017), whereas no correlation between ventricular volumes or corpus callosum sections and baseline depression severity could be detected (all p > 0.20 with the exception of the right lateral ventricle, which showed a trend toward a significant correlation (Pearson R = 0.13; p = 0.06)).
