The improvements in sleep disturbance for fezolinetant 30 mg and 45 mg versus placebo did not reach statistical significance in the phase III clinical trial SKYLIGHT 1 (ClinicalTrials.gov identifier: NCT04003155 ) 18 as is did in the clinical trial SKYLIGHT 2 (ClinicalTrials.gov identifier: NCT04003142 ). 21 While hot flashes and night sweats are the most common symptoms experienced by women going through menopause, it is often the sleep disruption that accompanies the night sweats that causes women to seek treatment.
