Our finding that noradrenaline use was reduced in the fever prevention group may be explained by a shorter duration of propofol sedation (though this did not reach statistical significance), but other explanations include a difference in the post-cardiac arrest syndrome between the two groups 19 and greater vasodilation in patients receiving targeted temperature management.
