Compared to controls, PiD and FTLD-MAPT showed a trend towards a reduction in the proportion of ramified cells (controls = 17.4%, FTLD-MAPT = 9.9%, PiD = 11.8%) and an increase in amoeboid cells (controls = 50.3%, FTLD-MAPT = 60.3%, PiD = 59.5%) but these differences were not significant.
