Interestingly, TNF neutralization alone induced little to no statistically significant changes in tissue expression during CLP, although, in log fold-change space, we observed that many genes showed a trend in expression that was opposite to that of CLP effects without cytokine neutralization (Extended Data Fig. 6c and Supplementary Table 5d ).
