19 In this study, patients who were pain-free at their last follow-up demonstrated evidence of HO less frequently (13%) than those who solicited knee pain on their last follow-up appointment (17%); however, this did not reach statistical significance ( P = 0.273), nor were there any cases of symptomatic HO requiring surgery.
