Overall, neither increasing the TEMPO oxidation level, i.e., the surface charges, nor the lengths of blending exhibited a clear trend in affecting T-CNF thickness, but T-CNF lengths seemed slightly shortened when the surface charge increased from 1.42 to 1.48 mmol/g, possibly by breaking the β-1,4-glycosidic link.
