However, according to the results of this bibliometric analysis, both the number of articles published and the frequency of citations have shown a clear trend of gradual increase in recent years, as the key role of gut-liver axis disorders in the pathogenesis of many liver diseases has only recently been accepted and become a hot topic in academic research.
