Included patients showed a trend of worse EFS and OS post-ASCT (EFS: HR = 3.21, 95% CI 1.43–7.21, p = 0.0047; OS: HR = 2.88, 95% CI 0.58–14.4, p = 0.20), possibly owing to the fact that the ASCT was given mainly to newly diagnosed patients as consolidation prior to relapse, and relapse is associated with poorer prognosis.
