Notably, similarly to GFP-N-cad-SE, overexpression of GFP-N-cad-WT resulted in a clear trend toward reduced cell fragmentation ( Figure 4, A and B ) and a significantly increased rate of dye transfer ( Figure 4C ), compared with control GFP and GFP-N-cad-SA, suggesting that exogenous GFP-N-cad-WT is likely phosphorylated by endogenous kin1 present in obscurin-B in ERVMs.
