At present, “bans of antibiotics” in feed have become an important trend in the development of the livestock and poultry industry, along with studies on several antibiotic alternatives, such as probiotics, antimicrobial peptides, Chinese herbal additives, plant-derived phytochemicals, functional amino acids, organic acids, and other functional additives that pose no potential threat to livestock quality [ 6 , 7 , 8 ].
