The factor artist renown did not significantly affect liking ( b = 0.07, 95% CI [− 0.17 to 0.31], p = 0.554) or arousal ratings ( b = 0.09, 95% CI [− 0.20 to 0.38], p = 0.554), but judgments of quality were slightly higher for famous, as opposed to unknown artists (near-significant trend: b = 0.23, 95% CI [− 0.03 to 0.48], p = 0.077).
