In addition, we found that patient tumor samples with poorly differentiated Stage IV esophageal and gastric cancer showed a trend towards increased iron-associated ferroptosis signature score compared to Stage I cancer, although this was not a significant difference (one-tailed Mann Whitney Wilcoxon Test, P = 0.06).
