Discussion Summary of the findings Utilizing data from 55- to 69-year-old study participants of the population-based UK Biobank with 14 years of follow-up, our study revealed consistent associations between objectively measured vitamin D deficiency and insufficiency (via serum samples), as well as self-reported regular use of vitamin D supplements, with all-cause, AD, and VD dementia, although some results for vitamin D supplements use did not reach statistical significance.
