Urinary EGF levels may serve as a noninvasive biomarker for the extent of interstitial fibrosis, and this result was also consistent with a decreasing trend in urinary levels of EGF in patients with a higher score (1 or 2) of T-lesion in the Oxford classification for patients with IgAN [ 15 , 24 ].
These findings tended to be consistent with our study results, although they did not reach statistical significance.
